很多英语学习者在使用“in the left”和“on the left”时常常混淆，其实两者用法完全不同。“on the left”表示“在左侧”，用于描述某物相对于观察者或参照物的位置；而“in the left”通常不单独使用，只有在特定语境下才成立，比如“in the left pocket”（在左边的口袋里）。
